SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR RETURNS MARCH 2-6!

Mark your calendars! Monday, March 2nd–Friday, March 6th

Scholastic Book Fair is the opportunity for students to shop for books with their classes during the school day—a wonderful opportunity to practice independence by selecting and purchasing their own books. More details to come next week at the Monday Morning Assembly AND as flyers coming home in your child’s folder next week.

The Book Fair will also be open to the community on Friday, March 6, from 2:30-3:30pm.

READ-A-THON RETURNS MARCH 9!

It's time to READ!!

From March 9th to March 25th, our Colfax students will be logging their minutes and trying to raise $15,000 to refresh our library and fund important enrichment programs and staff. We can do it, Colfax!

This year Colfax students aren't just reading for individual glory, they're also part of a reading TEAM (their class!) - and we have lots of prizes to make it fun for everyone!

Mahj & Mingle

Join us for an evening of Mahjong to benefit Colfax! Whether you're a seasoned player or brand new to the game, everyone is welcome. Instructors will be on hand to assist and guide beginners, so don’t be shy about joining in!

WORLD FAIR FAMILY & CLASS BOOTH SPONSORSHIPS

PURCHASE NOW THROUGH MARCH 16TH!

It’s. World. Fair. Time!!! Have your family’s portrait displayed at the World Fair! For $275, you will receive all photos from your 20 minute photo shoot with a professional parent photographer, and have your picture displayed at a booth at the upcoming World Fair. Photo Weekends are 3/21 and 22 and 4/11 and 12.

This is a great way to support your school AND get your holiday card pics taken care of. ;) Last day to buy is MONDAY, 3/16.

Join the PACE Board!

Nominations are open now for the PACE (Parents Association of Colfax Elementary) Board positions for the 2026-27 school year. If you are interested in joining the board, please fill out the nomination form before the deadline on Monday, March 23rd! Please contact Nominating Chairman Stephanie Gonzalez with any questions.

The PACE board consists of two volunteers per position, each serving a two-year term. The newly elected member serves in the junior position in year 1, and moves up to the senior position in year 2. Any Colfax Parent is eligible to serve on the PACE board. Open positions include: Co-President of Fundraising, Co-EVP / Co-President of Community, Co-VP Ways & Means, Co-VP Programs, Co-VP Communications, Co-Secretary, and Parliamentarian.

One of the best ways to get plugged into the Colfax community is to volunteer!
**Beginning Wednesday, October 1st, only LAUSD approved volunteers are allowed on campus during the school day.**
