Movement Techniques for Stress Relief & Nervous System Regulation with Julie Turner. This workshop will focus on specific movement practices that can help you regulate your nervous system physically, in order to support your daily life and relieve stress. You will receive an overview of the stress response in your body and learn regulation techniques that align the vagus nerve and activate the parasympathetic nervous system (our calming response). Julie will also demonstrate techniques for releasing tension and anxiety from specific muscles in the body that become rigid during the fight or flight response and introduce movement and mindfulness exercises you can try with your children.
