Congratulations on another amazing and record-breaking Read-A-Thon!

On Friday, April 11th, Colfax held our annual Read-A-Thon Results Assembly! Before the kids received their awards and got to spray Mr. Gorton and Ms. Stephens with Super Soakers, we were very lucky to welcome Representative Luz Rivas to our school! The Congresswoman revealed she had donated books to our library from the Library of Congress and kicked off our assembly off with inspirational remarks about her own path to success and her love of reading and math!

Then it was time to announce the Read-A-Thon Prize Results!

In just three weeks you all RAISED OVER $24,134 DOLLARS for our school and read more than ever before with an astounding 404,858 minutes - beating last year by nearly 32,000 minutes - for a NEW SCHOOL RECORD!
